Nutrition Can Save America!
Nov 25th

Nutrition Can Save America by Mike Adams NaturalNews.com
…says NaturalNews.com.
I love NaturalNews.com and the articles from Mike Adams, Health Ranger and Editor of the site. New articles are constantly being posted and they’re written on a wide variety of popular news topics (and not only H1N1…) relating to the natural ways to maintain health and wellness.
Adams recently wrote a report titled, “Nutrition Can Save America!” in which he provides detailed information on why poor nutriiton leads to poor economies and how proper nutrition can save it.
Poor nutrition destroys any nation. Good nutrition saves it. And in this NaturalNews special report, you’ll learn why nutrition plays such a powerful role in the rise or fall of any nation.
It’s also a warning message for America: If we don’t make immediate, radical changes in the available food supply — and the marketing of foods to consumers — we won’t survive much longer as a nation. America will fall, brought down by the inevitable consequences of a nutritionally deficient, chronically diseased population.
I invite you to read Adams’ great report on nutrition salvation, but first, I want to ask you this question:
If you knew that you could guarantee a better life for you and your family for generations to come by changing your lifestyle habits and eating a well balanced diet, would you do it? Add your comments below.
The Killing of a Rice Dream (and learn how to make rice milk too)
Nov 20th

To rice milk, or not to rice milk?
Here’s a great article that my brother just sent me which somewhat floored me, but only for a second.
For my family’s whole grain organic cereals we top it off with some organic milk alternatives like the rice milk, oat milk and almond milk.
More specifically, of the rice milk brands, we have bought several kinds including the ones from President’s Choice Organics, Ryza, Yü and Rice Dream. All of them taste great and are derived from pretty good, natural sources. Recently we’ve been getting Rice Dream because we’ve had a challenge getting the other brands but after reading this article, we’re going to make a quick change to another brand faster than you can say…well, you get the point.
It’s definitely a sad thing to see when good companies get bought out (sometimes by “force”) by larger corporations and then their product quality goes wayside.
Read the article for yourself and decide on your own whether or not you’re going to consume Rice Dream.
If you’re thinking of boycotting the brand, and you want to learn how to make your own rice milk, there’s also a great recipe in there! (I’m going to try it myself…just have to dust off the blender a bit…)
Garlic and Blood Pressure
Nov 18th

Forget vampires, garlic can be used to balance your blood pressure too.
Did you know that over 5 million Canadians are living with high blood pressure but an estimated 40% of them are not even aware of their condition?
High blood pressure, also referred to as ‘hypertension’, occurs when the force of the blood against the walls of the blood vessels is too high. High blood pressure occurs when the blood is pumped with great difficulty against the arteries by a person’s heart which over time begins to damage the lining of the blood vessels. Chronic high blood pressure can cause damage to vital organs like the heart, brain and kidneys when the condition is not managed.
Cracking the Codes

The next time you go grocery shopping, be a detective!
Have you ever wondered what the numbers on the little stickers on your apples, bananas and other produce mean? It’s actually quite simple but very important for health conscious consumers to know, understand and memorize. After all, most of us ‘healthy’ shoppers spend our hard-earned money on slightly more expensive goods and we deserve the right to know what we’re getting, right? This article will show you how to read the price look-up (PLU) codes which are required for most produce nowadays.
The next time you go grocery shopping, be a detective! Don’t only look at the Nutrition Facts labels on your processed and boxed goods, but also look at the stickers and labels on your produce.
The Difference Between Buying a Car and Getting the H1N1 Vaccine
Nov 14th

Here, take the keys. You gonna luv it.
Here’s a question for you…
What is the difference is between buying a car and getting an H1N1 vaccination?
By the way, this isn’t a joke and there is no punch line. Many of you will also be thinking that it is such an odd comparison, however, it’s a pretty good one in my personal opinion.
Figured it out yet?
Organic Food vs Local Food
Nov 13th

Is buying organic food really better for us?
Organic food is popping up everywhere. And I mean everywhere. Major grocery chains including Walmart, Loblaws, Superstore and Dominion, and many other stores across Canada and the United States are allocating valuable floor space to selling organic products, and companies are building and growing organic-only stores and organic co-ops like The Big Carrot, Kootenay, and Karma. Whole Foods Markets are also being constructed every year in Canada, US and the UK, and even the major food manufacturers are jumping on board by creating or buying out (in the case of Green and Black’s) organic companies just so that they can get a piece of the organic pie.
But what does this all mean? Does it mean that we’re getting better quality food on our tables when we buy organic food? Does that mean that an organic apple from South America is better than an apple that was grown locally on a non-organic farm? Or are we just paying more money for an organic labeled product when we could save some coin and just buy fresh, locally grown produce?
Is your gut bacteria making you fat?
Nov 12th

Is your gut bacteria making you fat?
Okay, I’ve been telling my clients this for YEARS now and it’s just now that scientists are beginning to figure it out? What took them so long?
(And really, it doesn’t have to take an expensive study to figure that your gut bacteria plays a huge role in not only your weight but also in your hormonal balance, your skin, your mood and pretty much every other factor in your life.
Because the human body is made up of 10 times more microbial cells than human cells, researchers believe it’s vital to know how the food we eat affects microbial activity.

To start things off, I thought I’d share a video with you about the biggest topic of controversy of recent. The following is a video of the famous Dr. Mehmet Oz stating to the world (or at least the millions of viewers watching that news broadcast) that even HE wouldn’t give his wife or children the H1N1 vaccine! It’s rather odd that he would go so far as to tell the world to make sure that they protect themselves against the H1N1 “threat”, but that he wouldn’t even give his own family the protection that they “need”.
Ah well, watch the following video and see for yourself.
